After months of hard work, 22-year-old Stephanie Hill was crowned Miss England 2017 on July 14th. The final took place at the beautiful Resorts World in Birmingham, and was the perfect venue for such an elegant event. Miss Hill, who has tried for years to win the title, won the judges over with her dream of curing cancer – a dream she is currently working towards as she is completing a degree in radiotherapy. Miss Hill will be off to China in November to compete for the title of Miss World – good luck Stephanie, we’ll all be rooting for you.

Triumph over 49 incredible ladies was no easy feat. The competition was fierce, from Firefighter’s, to Models, to Scientists. Big congratulations go to the 1st and 2nd runner up, Rachel Pitman and Olivia Green, and to all the beautiful women who competed, you are all winners in our eyes!

Mediaboard International has been a proud supporter of the Miss England Pageant since 2015, providing social media and marketing support. This year, we designed the #MissEngland T-shirts for the ladies to wear (see photo below). Our very own Director of Business Development, Pritesh Nathwani was honoured to be a judge at this years Semi-Finalist event at Kelham Hall in Nottingham.

In particular, this year has been a very special year, as Miss England supported us in one of our fundraising campaigns by donating £7,500 to Shivam’s Wheelchair Fund. We could not have been more grateful, as this fundraiser was very near and dear to our hearts. Shivam was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and now relies on oxygen 24 hours a day. Shivam has been confined to a wheelchair for the past 9 years, but now since the success of our fundraiser, he will have a brand new power assisted wheelchair, that will improve his quality of life. Again, another massive Thank you to Miss England, for changing the life of this young man. For more information on the SWF fundraiser, check out our previous blog post.

We’ve had an amazing time working along side Miss England, and can’t wait to see the wonderful things Miss Hill will accomplish during her reign.
